I love New Year’s Day. I think it might even be my favorite holiday. I don’t care how many times I hear about how it’s just another day, man-made measures of time, or how 90% or whatever of all people fail at their resolutions every year.
Not listening.
It’s a beautiful fresh start. A new mile marker in your life. You look at years, you can’t help it, and it’s a chance to create the memories and feelings you’ll always have when you think “2020.”
That’s powerful. It’s an amazing feeling.

NYD is a great holiday. I wish people wouldn’t dis holidays they don’t particularly like it or understand it. If you don’t want to celebrate something, by all means, don’t! But don’t try to ruin it for everyone else.
